That was more about Kevin Pritchard valuing his own young players way to much. This year, the Blazers had no problem shipping off an expiring contract to get a player. If Pritchard was GM, we wouldn't have Wallace because he would have been unwilling to give up Dante Cunningham.

Seriously. I guess he's decided he might as well cash out some of his falling stock. I also wondered for a minute how this might affect the Twolves and the draft then remembered that they drafted 18 PGs that year they took Rubio. So I see this as having no bearing on what they choose to do.

I think it is evident now to everyone that MIA won't win a ring or even make it to the Finals. It is highly likely that Riley will take over (apparently he will be able to coach the team into some newfound height and size) and somewhat possible that Bosh will be traded.

But the thought of another Lakers Celtics matchup is epic. That would be 3 of the last 4 seasons and start getting on par with the stuff from the 80s. If Jermaine O'Neal heals up and Shaq can stay healthy, that will be a scary series. Very scary.

I wonder if they still consider themselves one of the greatest trios to ever play the game?

That would be unlikely given that they may not even be the best trio in their current division.

I wonder how this Mia experiment is going to affect the potential repeat of the same thing in NYC. Carmelo, CP and amare.

Which trio would be better suited to win quickly.

Neither trio would have any defensive presence in the paint, but you could make an argument that the Knick trio may have a slight edge. Maybe.

Mia currently one game above .500. Is it still to early to write them off? Meanwhile, the spurs keep creeping below the radar.
