    That was incredible.

Yama barely broke a sweat. What an outing.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I grew up an MLB fanatic. Baseball was the first sport I played, and the first sport I watched (every Friday night Red Sox game was broadcast to my area).

Since COVID (and when I started playing pickleball,) I have barely watched it, and it makes me sad. Maybe my failing knees will result in a little more time in front of the TV--especially during the playoffs.

I too grew up loving baseball. Loved playing, and watching Saturday games announced by Vin Scully and Joe Garigiola. But I lost interest in my later teenage years.

I still love going to games at the ballpark. Anytime my wife and I travel to a city with an MLB team, we try to attend a game. But I can't watch regular season games on TV. Too much time to invest in a game that has very little impact or importance (1/162 of a season).

Once the playoffs start, we start tracking teams, and then start avidly watching games when the division series start through the World Series. We don't have favorite teams. I tend to pull for small market teams or western US teams. So I'm rooting for Seattle and Milwaukee right now. My wife is more of a front-runner, and will root for big name teams. It keeps things spicy!

I'm the exact opposite. Never watched it growing up, never played it. My complete disinterest continued into my adulthood, until we had an attending take each first year resident to a Red Sox game. That lit a spark.

Well, that and a couple of WS wins while we lived there

I really never watched baseball growing up and only played it a bit as a kid. I still rarely watch a regular season game, but I love playoff baseball. It's the best playoff sport to watch by a mile. The apprehension and tension before a big pitch is awesome. It's even better now with the pitch clock as the game actually moves along at a decent pace.

Nothing beats sitting in a ball park as well. I prefer the ball park over a basketball arena or a football stadium.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

This is how the momentum in a series turns. Yee-ikes.

I’m beginning to think it was folly to believe the Mariners could win this series…
