Chicago looks pretty tempting above all other teams.. Cav's fans are freaking out, Knicks are still pushing to get him and the Mavs want him in Dallas now...

If he chooses Chicago, I think he will become THE most hated player in Cleveland history. If he goes anywhere besides Cleveland I see this happening. Hometown boy disses own home. He will be hated for all of his life in Cleveland for that..

We saw the Letterman Show when we were in NY and he had Jay-Z as a guest. I guess Jay-Z has an ownership in the Nets (didn't know that) and the Nets are chasing Lebron (didn't know that either). There was a very awkward moment in the interview when Dave said that if Lebron had any character, he'd stay in Cleveland.

I think he stays in cleveland. He's too committed to the city vis a vis friends, family, etc. to go anywhere else. Money isn't an issue for lbj; remember him passing up a significant dollar difference to sign with nike rather than reebok?

But they are not in any position to give him what he really wants. A Championship ring.. They are in no position to get other key players he will need for the playoffs. Sure his team did well over the season, but when it came to the playoffs. He needs a Pippen etc. He needs more than what he has..

The fact that he was silent nor did he even try and reach out to Izzo (Dude wouldn't even return his calls..) speaks volumes to me that he is not staying in C-town..

I don't remember that. But even if he did, it was still just a business decision that Nike was THE company that Reebok can't match.

There is no indication that Lebron is unlike every other NBA superstar and does not play $$ as his most important factor. But, since he can probably get the same money anywhere, he can move on to other factors.

On his radio show today Dan Patrick mentioned that Stephan A. Smith told him this morning that LeBron, Bosh, and Wade will all three be signing with Miami. I think James and Wade being on the court together slightly diminishes the unique abilities each of them have because they wouldn't be able to dominate the ball as much as they have been used to. But it would also create an insane increase in space for each to operate, compared to what they've been accustomed to in the past. Wade would be absolutely unguardable even if he just had someone like Bosh to play with, let alone the best player thrown in the mix too.

I do think the biggest advantage to having Wade/James play together is what they'd be able to do on defense. We've seen in USA hoops games how scary those two can be for opponents on defense together. Since they'd be expending less energy on offense, they'd be able to play significant defense for longer stretches during games, leading to more forced turnovers, more easy buckets, and more blowouts.

In their less-than-expert opinions the guys on local radio thought Korver could find a home there with the midlevel and break his new record for 3-pt % in a season, finding himself open more often than not. Their guess was around 60%. Might not be too far off. He wouldn't get to shoot much but when he did you can bet it would come off unbelievable penetration and kick.
