Really? Sloan seemed to like him. Oh well, I guess we can't have 4 non-traditional bigmen on the team.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Suton getting cut is not surprising given his play and lack of ability, but when was the last time a Jazz 2nd rounder didn't make the time? I can't think of any recent examples. (excluding guys who stayed in Europe and didn't attempt to make the team)So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I am pretty sure the answer is Jamal Sampson from Cal in 2002, but since he did at least play in the NBA the last to not make any team would be Kaniel Dickens from Idaho in 2000.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostSuton getting cut is not surprising given his play and lack of ability, but when was the last time a Jazz 2nd rounder didn't make the time? Looking over the Jazz schedule yesterday, I noticed that they have a much more favorable schedule this time around with regards to back-to-backs. B2Bs are hard for any team, but they were particularly miserable for the Jazz last year. I think they were something like 1-15 on the second night of a B2B until they finally won a couple. Of course, those didn't matter once they started tanking at the end of the season...
Anyway, by my count, they have 19 B2Bs this year (compared to 21 last year). Last year, 17 of the 21 had the second night of the B2B on the road, which was pretty bad scheduling compared to other teams in the league. This year, only 12 of the 19 second games are on the road which is on par with what most of the league had last year.
Quick breakdown of B2Bs:
5 Home=>Away
0 Home=>Home (they had one last year)
7 Away=>Home
7 Away=>Away
Absent any other of a gazillion factors, the more favorable schedule should translate to 2-3 more wins for a team like the Jazz.

Jamal Sampson was traded to Orlando as part of the Curtis Borchardt deal, I am almost positive.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI am pretty sure the answer is Jamal Sampson from Cal in 2002, but since he did at least play in the NBA the last to not make any team would be Kaniel Dickens from Idaho in 2000.
So Kaniel Dickens from Idaho would be the correct answer.
I am also a bit surprised they didn't try and get him to play in Europe and then keep his rights. They must have really not seen an NBA player in him if that is the case.

Allegedly Ime Udoka is going to be cut or was cut by Portland. He is looking to land with another NBA team this season.
As a guy who could come in and play while Miles and Korver are banged up and if Harpring is retiring, he may not be a bad option.

If they are going to cut a guy that once played for the JUCO powerhouse known as C.E.U. then the Blazers can go to hell and lose every game this season. This just gives me another reason not to like them.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostAllegedly Ime Udoka is going to be cut or was cut by Portland. If it wasn't for the Blazers you wouldn't even know the name of Ime Udoka. Blazers were the team that gave him his start.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostIf they are going to cut a guy that once played for the JUCO powerhouse known as C.E.U. then the Blazers can go to hell and lose every game this season. Also John Beck's future BIL, no? Or was that the next year?Originally posted by YOhio View PostThe 1996-1997 CEU team had Harold Arcenaux, Eddie Gill, and Ime Udoka.
