  • Is it just me or is anyone caring about preseason? Maybe it is because the Dodgers made it to the NLCS, but I haven't cared one bit about the Lakers pre-season stuff. I can't get into it yet for some reason. Probably after tomorrow night I will be ready to dive back in full force. I haven't been posting a single thing lately even though there is stuff happening every day. Are you guys watching the pre-season games?

I haven't but I have been watching the box score. Ammo was 4-4 from 3 pt land and 5-7 from the field. Bynum has been putting up 20-10 every night and owning the middle. Like you said, I'll pay more attention after the Dodgers bow out.

No but outside of preseason football I never do for any sport. Wake me when the real games start.

        • I should add the only thing I really pay attention to in preseason issome of the rotations and watching for injuries. Last year really sucked with Deron going down and this year not as much with CJ getting hurt.

          • Oh, and watching the rookies play, especially as a Jazz fan. It'll be your only chance until next year during Summer league.

            • Jazz will be on FSN-Utah through 2020-21. Better than the Mtn.

And kiss KJZZ as a station goodbye. Without ad revenue from Jazz games I don't know how they'll survive.

the natural acquirer would appear to be some sort of adult-themed channel.

Indeed. Even with the games it's hard for me to imagine Jazz game ad revenue coming anywhere close to being enough to sustain the non-Jazz game programming. I realize there is non-Jazz game ad revenue, but who watches KJZZ outside of Jazz games -- fans of The Joseph Smith Papers?

They had an awesome Utah Co. based version of Blind Date on KJZZ a few years ago. If they brought that back, I bet they'd be able to account for the lost Jazz revenue. That show was great!

Not On The First Date. Jimmy Rex a friend of mine created and produced that show. He was also the host.

I was always a bigger fan of Elim-a-date over Blind Date.

Dude. You seriously underestimate the number of "Just Shoot Me" watchers, methinks.

                            • Huge news today!

Goran Suton has been released. Now, the Jazz roster is void of players whose name sounds like a bearded animal in a Dr. Seuss book.

However, Mehmet Okur sort of looks like a bearded animal in a Dr. Seuss book, so all is not lost.

Not only that, they are paying for their syndication rights to every show they have running. Friends, The Office, Just Shoot Me, etc. Seriously, I am not expecting KJZZ to be around much longer.
