  • Before last night, the 5 guys who were the future of the Jazz averaged less than one minute per game playing together. Incredible.

    • I really wish someone could teach Burke how to get to the FT line. Dude has shot 2 free throws in the last 6 games (nearly 200 minutes played). Some points at the line would really help him.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

      • Jazz lose, C's win. All alone in 4th and only .5 out of 3rd.

        • Remaining games for Jazz are vs. LAL and @ MIN. BOS has @ PHI and vs. WAS. ORL goes @ Brooklyn, @ CHI and vs. IND.

Jazz are 1.5 ahead of LAL, so that game is huge and, unfortunately, winnable. Don't think they'll win @ MIN. BOS could conceivably win both so I think we're bound to finish ahead (behind) of them. ORL probably doesn't have another win left on their schedule, though I suppose it is conceivable CHI and IND could be resting depending on how things shake out.

LAL have vs. Memphis, @ Utah and @SA. They'll almost certainly lose that Memphis game, but the other two are toss ups, especially with SA likely resting last game of the season.

I'd say right now odds are pretty good Jazz finish 4th. That LAL game is big though.

Ending tied with Orlando would mean a coin-toss for that draft position, correct?

Kind of. They split the ping pong balls between the two spots, and then coin flip for position in the event neither team moves up.

In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination(s). The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

Dame signed an endorsement deal with Adidas yesterday that apparently could be worth up to $100m. Damn!

I'm just glad the Jazz didn't trade up for him. I have no proof that they didn't try but dammit, throw in Raja Bell and some Salt City taffee and get-'er-done!
