Why criticize Jefferson? He's just telling the truth. No intelligent basketball fan ever thought the Jazz had a chance of winning any of these games. I'm assuming Jefferson is an intelligent basketball fan.

Shoot, I really want to be considered an intelligent BB fan. I guess I just didn't realize how good the Spurs are. I actually thought the Jazz had a good chance. Oh well I have been called worse than an unintelligent BB fan.

I don't think BGR is criticizing him for being an intelligent fan, I think he's ultimately saying the Jazz shout sit his ass down if he feels that way. IOW, play the idiots who think they have a chance to win.

When I played at the highest levels of basketball I ever played at, unfortunately, my teams sucked and I realized just about everybody we played was better than us and we had no business winning a lot of the time. But before those games against far superior teams, I always thought that if I went for 40 and the other team maybe was cold, we could win and I always thought I could go for 40. I can't imagine playing in a game I thought we had no chance to win. If Al feels that way, it's okay - just don't play him. No need to play in a game you can't win.

Ty now thinking about starting Favors in game 4.

Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said he's considering changing his starters for Game 4 on Monday. However, Corbin doesn't plan to announce a decision until shootaround, at the earliest. He wants to give reserve power forward Derrick Favors more time, and hinted the 20-year-old might be moved into the first unit.

Corbin said Favors' learning curve is obviously shortening and Utah's coach respects that the No. 3 overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft gets "pissed" after losses.

"His determination and desire to win and compete is really showing now," Corbin said. "Even though we haven't had success winning the games … he's really demonstrated he has that other level in him that's going to feel like somebody took something away from him after every loss."

Bench Al and start Favors. Al is the perfect type of NBA player to come off the bench even though egos usually won't allow it. Obviously this isn't going to happen but it would be nice. I think the Jazz's defense would be x1000 times better too.

I just hope we trade Al in the offseason because Paul is going to get more touches, and Favors will get more touches. I think the Jazz are a top 10 team in the league on defense without Al and with Favors on the court.

Udderless, yes, but not so young. Sure, we have young guys, but 7 of our 5 starters have been in the league for 7+ years. Spurs have young guys playing too. I just don't think it is an excuse for this team not being better. This team is not better because they don't have enough talent, and the right guys are not playing the right amount of time.

Mammory glands aside (and how are there 7 starters out of 5 for that matter?), this team's best players are young and inexperienced, whereas the Spurs have Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker who are not only experienced, they are their best players. Enough said.

Game 3 better be the last game in his career as a bench player. It was game 3 of the regular season when he ended his run as a "regular starter" with a 20 pt, 11 rebound game against Philly in the first home game of the year. After that he was put on the bench because veteran Millsap broke out the "I'll do what's best for the team, but I'm @#!*% if I'm not starting" line and Corbin caved. Because of how Corbin has botched his handling of Favors this year, I'm not as confident as Locke that Favors will forever be a starter from this point forward.

Big Al concedes the series. Says nobody will beat the Spurs in the playoffs this year, and that while the Jazz just didn't play hard in Game 2 (whole 'nother bag of worms itself) they played well in Games 1 and 3 and just didn't have a chance to win because the Spurs are too good.
