malone could be very good or he could be bad, dont know what to think about that option.

Do we lose the pick if we don't get it this year?

Top 7 protected in 2012 and 2013, Top 6 in 2014, and then converts to two 2nd round picks after that.

Well considering the staff the jazz has now I dont think he could be worse.

Yes it could be worse. Malone would be more confused than Magic was and he (Malone) wouldn't have nearly the responsibility Magic did. He's not a hall of famer for his communication skills.

                  What?

Wiz free agent SF Josh Howard is attracted to signing with team DEN FA C Nene signs with, source tells Y! SA, Chi, Den, NO, Utah, NJ in mix
Utah has always liked Howard, at least they did before he went kind of crazy. They should have drafted him when they brought him in for multiple workouts, talked about his long arms, and how easily he got his shots off.

Big Al for Nene straight up?

Al for Nene? Al is younger, has been more productive and, IIRC, been healthier. Nene is a little bigger and more athletic, but if that doesn't translate into production or make him younger I don't think out means much.

Interesting. But paying Nene 5 yrs @ $13m per?
Nice efficiency offensively, but 1 block and 7.6 boards?
Why would Denver be interested in the swap? Nene would prefer Utah over Denver? I know is is upset at management, but still.

Ah. That's why Denver would be interested in the swap. Probably neither team is satisfied with either guy, and the grass is greener. I'm not sure. Neither one is great.

He's played more games the past 3 years than Jefferson. Nene is about 2.5 years older than Al. As far as production, it'd be a move of the superior offensive player for a superior defensive player. But Al has a significant higher rebound rate.

What seemed odd to me was the comment about Howard wanting to sign where Nene does. I don't think they've ever played together before, have they? Do they have the same agent? Is this a case of "Give Nene big bucks, and Howard will sign a short deal on the cheap to prove he's healthy?"

I looked it up as well and am always shocked by Jefferson's age. The guy has been in the league so long it just feels like he should be older.

Jazz sign 33 yo Jamaal Tinsley? What? This is some sort of sick joke, right?
