    • Some speculation that Sloan got in a fight with a player last night. Easy guess is Deron.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yeah, this is a big time shocker.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Maybe it was Ronnie Price after Sloan said he was resigning. I bet Price is pissed that he's going to have to move to Europe now. He was going to gravy train this Jarron Collins ride for at least another 3-4 years.

            • Honestly it is very strange to imagine the Jazz without Jerry. It almost feels like someone has died. His old school approach was one of the reasons I loved the Jazz.

              • Not that I understand the Sloan move, but it looks every more strange if Phil is going too. That makes it seem more like a firing than a resignation. Unless they told Phil that he wasn't getting the job when Jerry left.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

                • Maybe Phil figured his and Jerry's approaches were too similar and that he wasn't the one to get things back on track.

Yeah it will be awesome to see the Sloan bashers this spring when the Jazz miss the playoffs, complaining that Sloan quit on this team mid-season.

Phil has said for years now that when Jerry was done, he was done. Countless people disagreed with me on CB, stating the oft-quoted line from LHM about Phil being the next Jazz coach. But he has been very clear about the fact that he wasn't going to take over when Jerry left -- he was leaving with him.

Plus he is like 4-5 years older than Jerry.

This is a bad sign for how things are being run for the future. Will next years awful draft pick be 100% KOC's fault now? Just wanting to know who to complain about in advance.

                            Exactly.

This is so surreal. You thought the day was going to come eventually, just not now.

                            • As someone that dislikes both Sloan and the Jazz, I believe he consistently got significantly more wins than would be otherwise expected, given their talent level.

                              • Where is SloanHater? He has to be feeling like Wrubell after a special interview with John Beck and Jimmer right now. I would have thought he would be here predicting 10 straight Jazz titles, now that the talent wasn't being held back.
