In his book I do not have all of the details but he has a whole chapters on what ifs. I knew Gail Goodrich cost the Jazz Magic, but I had no idea that he cost them Moses Malone as well.

The Jazz could have had a team of Moses Malone, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson and I am sure Dominique would have been fine playing in Utah with Magic and Moses. SO Nique, Karl, Moses and Magic, I am guessing Utah gives those Celtics and Pistons teams a run for their money.
What the Jazz could have been, but not the Utah Jazz. Also, it's foolish to think that since the Jazz ended up with Karl that they still would have if the other two things happened. There's not a chance in hell those four would have ended up together.

I read a couple of chapters in that book at a friend's house the other night and Simmons is just an idiot. His cute pop culture quips are about half as witty and intelligent as Klosterman, and he's not very insightful about sports either. I do like the way he decided to hack the Klosterman style of footnotes, however.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I'll bet Simmons would agree with you that Klostermann does it better.

Anyway, go Jazz! Tonight is one of the two biggest games of the season for you! Now is not the time to play to the level of your competition.

The dearth of clothing is nice, but the weather is exactly what makes it a shithole. I'm inclined to think hell has better weather than FL.

Can't take any chances, even considering the Knicks' poor start. Have to win this game.

Isn't fusnik going to be at the game tonight? I would be shocked if he isn't able to sneak down to courtside to fill the empty seats. He will probably be on camera a bunch.

Oh, I'm well aware. That's why this game is so huge. Not only have the Jazz failed to show up vs. the Knicks in the recent past; tonight, they really, really need to.

Wow Millsap sure hoodwinked the Jazz. 9 points and 5 rebounds for 10 million per. Sounds like Jerome James all over again.

It's almost like he's getting most of his minutes alongside Ronnie Price and Wes Mathews.

Jazz fans, say hello to the fruits of the Knicks 1st rounder next year:

                      (Cole Aldrich, not Tyler Hansborough)

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Aldrich wouldn't be my first choice, but I'm not necessarily opposed to him either.

Right now the Knicks pick is #3. That high I don't think the Jazz take him, but a handful of spots lower and they might.

Looks like another impending 4th quarter meltdown for the Jazz.

These guys are just painful. I swear they get up on every team by about 15 before they just fully meltdown.

Two missed ft's by NY and they come up with the O board.

It's tied. We led by 17 at one point. Unreal. Every night.

Holy hell. This team is so bad with its shot selection.

Here we go. NY with the ball, down 2, 6.4 seconds left.

Guarantee they'll drill a 3 after the timeout.
