Has Price passed Watson on the depth chart?

I like Price and the energy he brings in about 3.5 minute spurts. Anything much longer than that and I get worried.

I agree. I will say that I had hoped Earl Watson would be further along in running the offense. Right now he looks slow and confused. That may never change unfortunately.

The Jazz do have a penchant for acting as caretaker for some over-the-hill players. Too many to list here but among my favorites (not) were John Starks, Danny Manning, and Brevin Knight.

How could I forget Mark Jackson's irrelevant year with the Jazz. Fortunately we get to hear him during national broadcasts now. His insight and knowledge of the game is surpassed only by his ability to mesh with his Jeff Van Gundy.

Rashad McCants still can't get a job in the NBA. I'd like the Jazz to give him a 10 day contract or 2 and give him a chance considering the lack of depth/talent at the 2.

Jazz would be really good with Wes Matthews as their starting SG. As a complimentary note, Paul Millsap sure is a bargain on the payroll right now making only $6.2 M.

Hoopshype is showing Matthews' salary this year as only $5.7 M. An error on their part? No front loading on that deal?

I think the front-loading is paid out in the form of a bonus, no? So he's making like 9mm this year, but the difference was paid upfront.

I think so, I just still thought for payroll purposes that bonus was lumped in with the first year salary to show the total cap figure. I thought last year Millsap showed as a much higher salary because of his front-loaded bonus.

Matthews hasn't been all that good for the Blazers so far this year.
