The fact that the D-leauge All-Stars made the Lakers play 48 min of basketball in the 1st two games is nothing short of a miracle and quite encouraging as a Jazz fan.

The back half of this roster is so bad. The sad thing is they'll keep signing D leaguers so they can afford the other guys. Well, at least until they can get rid of AK and Memo's contracts.

I was proud of Memo for playing through the achilles injury but it's fairly obvious to anyone that Memo is not long for this valley. With AK I'm torn. I would love for him to remain with the team after next year at a more reasonable $5M per but to be honest I'm more excited about the prospect of finally having $18M trade bait for next year.

(Oh how I wish AK could have returned during the Denver series. He would be in full stride by now and games 1 and 2 would have had entirely different outcomes. Woulda coulda shoulda.)

I would take AK back on a reduced contract, and I think that's what will end up happening.

A 45 or so year old man kicked me in the back of the chair last night at the game because I was cheering go Lakers. My husband and I both turned to him and I even thanked him for the gesture but he was too wussy to actually look us in the face.
