lol no. Clarkson was the only thing between us and a 30 point blowout last night. The guys need to accept that we are now going to get every team's top effort from here on out and step it up. San Antonio shooting like 70% in the first quarter didn't help matters, and neither did our missing like half our free throws. Had we kept an even keel after getting punched in the mouth we walk away winning that game. I believe it's a matter of adjusting, like Donovan had to in year 2 after teams started putting in hours on his film. We'll straighten things out, I believe.Originally posted by wapiti View PostBummer, the Jazz suck again. Looks like most people are predicting that both Donovan and Rudy will be named West reserves for the All-Star game.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Mitchell and GObert both named as All Stars. Hope they p[lay like they deserve it tonight.
I, for one, do NOT want Iggy. Too old. Too entitled. Quin will figure out the defensive problems. Jazz prolly dont win the ring this year but they might get to WCF.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Ha, I saw the predictions earlier in the day and didn't think to post it until now.Originally posted by creekster View PostMost people were right.
Rudy, reigning DPOY two years running, definitely deserves it and probably should have been an All-Star last year. Donovan more than likely deserves it.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Both extremely deserving and the Jazz' body of work this year merits it. There are dudes like Devin Booker that are amazing but their teams are doo doo, so you can't really put them ahead of Donovan or Rudy or any of the best players from the top 5 teams in the conference.Originally posted by falafel View PostHa, I saw the predictions earlier in the day and didn't think to post it until now.

I agree that they absolutely deserve it. It is ridiculous that Rudy is a 2x DPOY and an all NBA level talent but has never been an All-Star.Originally posted by Commando View PostBoth extremely deserving and the Jazz' body of work this year merits it. Booker has an interesting case. I would rather see him make it than Westbrook, tbh. but as to Booker or Mitchell, you have to go with Mitchell, as the coaches did.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Yeah we'd be sorry if we traded Clarkson for Iggy. Who knows how much he has left in the tank and where Clarkson is immediately an impact player coming in, I don't think we risk his contributions in favor of some perimeter defense we are speculating that Iggy could provide. I mean- our dudes could just step up our defense and we keep Clarkson, right? If Quinn thinks that is an option with our personnel, I go with his opinion over some sports writer...Originally posted by creekster View PostMitchell and GObert both named as All Stars. Agreed about Westbrook. He's good, but as good as Booker? Nah.Originally posted by creekster View PostI agree that they absolutely deserve it. It is ridiculous that Rudy is a 2x DPOY and an all NBA level talent but has never been an All-Star.

The coach in me (tbh, there's no coach in me) would say that Booker, Mitchell and Westbrook all bring a similar skill set, whereas CP3 brings something different and therefore is maybe the better choice. But that's not really what the All-Star game is about.Originally posted by Commando View PostI would. It would upset the old guard, but whateves.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. Agree. Iggy was great at times, but he also has a tempermental back and he is 36 years old. He is well rested but that may or may not help. The defense problems are real, and SATX and the ROX showed how/why. But I am not sure Iggy solves the defensive woes, which have as much to do with teams pulling Gobert out and then hitting the lane with a wing as they do iso on stars, which is what iggy would be for. The Jazz have seen this before and adjusted and they will figure it out (except maybe for the Rockets, who seem like Jazz Kryptonite).Originally posted by Commando View PostYeah we'd be sorry if we traded Clarkson for Iggy. CP3 deserves it more than Westbrook bny a country mile, IMO. CP3, who I personally dislike, has had an amazing season for the Thunder and they are in the thick of the west race, despite being predicted to be doormats, because of that season. Westbrook has had a great last few weeks but Houston's net was a negative with him on the floor before those last few weeks. Thunder is winning BECAUSE of CP3. Rockets are winning DESPITE Westbrook. ANd Phoenix, well Phoenix is still Phoenix but booker is buckets.Originally posted by falafel View PostDrop CP3 for Booker?PLesa excuse the tpyos.
