It is good to be nervous fgor every game in the playoffs. But I cant believe that both Favors and Gobert will have 4 or five fouls in the third quarter in the game in SLC. There were a few crap calls. And, to be honest, if RW shoots in game 6 like he did in the last 20 minutes of this game, then Jazz will probably lose again. But he won't. I think it is more likely that RW will now be convinced he can do it again and will take a boatload of ill-advised threes and make them at his season long rate of around 29%. That would be OK with me.

This was a bad result and a bad look in the second half. But it was anomalous. The Jazz won three in a row. I am nervous too, but I think Jazz will be fine.

one of the ways I was consoling myself last night was a reminder that the prize for winning this series is the beard. so its just fine, hell, even preferable, if that comeback completely demoralized the jazz and they can't win another one.

I considered that idea but it just doesn't sit right with me. I want them to win this series just to see how far away they are from Houston. I suspect it will be a 4 game sweep but it would be fun if they manage to win one or two. Either way you measure your best against the best if you want to make progress.

I thought that Mitchell seemed a bit more rookie-esque last night. He seemed a bit confused when they collapsed on him in the lane in the 4Q and some of his drives had nowhere to go. It will be good for him to watch this game and try again. If I am judging the kid correctly, he will come back better than that.

Finally, can I just say that 20 years ago if you had told me I would now be sitting through talking head analysis by Gary Payton where he praises the Jazz up and down, I would have thought you were crazy. That almost seemed surreal.
