The winning time of 31:54.88 was over a minute slower than Jane's NCAA record 30:46.80 earlier this year at Stanford. A lot of people online are blaming it on bad coaching - saying she should have been coached to put more distance between herself and the pack earlier in the race and not try to outkick at the end. I'm not smart enough about track to really have an opinion on whether it was coaching or Jane just didn't have a great day.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostComment

She does not have the kick to match what was run yesterday. Either they were trying to save for the 5 k as well or they did not plan very well. If she doesn't win the 5 k then it was coaching.Comment
