Watched the boys practice. Nick looks sharp. Mika is the clear leader of the team. Davis is alternately amazing and horrible. Dastrup is big, very big, and surprisingly talented. Childs can finish any play with a dunk. Haws seemed distracted. Beo hit an incredibly deep 3. LJ was rehabbing. Aytes was limping but playing. Shaw looked surprisingly serviceable. Mostly just a conditioning practice but fun. I can't wait for the season.

I feel badly for Aytes. To be cursed with recurrent injuries.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostWatched the boys practice. Nick looks sharp. Mika is the clear leader of the team. I wonder what role Dastrup will play? I imagine that as the dust settles this year he will back up Mika and play more 5 but likely similar to the role that Isaac Neilson played before he transferred. My guess is when Dastrup is on the court the 4 will be the back to the basket post- let it be Davis, Childs or Aytes. I guess Dastrup could even be on the court with Mika and Mika could play some 4 as he is likely athletic enough to cover most opposing 4's. How the post develops this year will be more fun to watch than previous years.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostWatched the boys practice. Nick looks sharp. It is unfortunate that LJ Rose cannot stay healthy. With him healthy it could be a pretty fun year and give Haws a little more time to acclimate, get in shape etc. Having an experienced and reliable, albeit not a superstar caliber, player would make a difference - especially for the first two months.
I think Shaw has a very bright future as possibly the best 3rd option at the 5 BYU has had in the Rose tenure.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

If it is just a torn meniscus, it should be recoverable. But the guy is star-crossed with how many injuries he's suffered.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Postrumor is he had or is having surgery. torn meniscus, perhaps."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

He wasn't there. I didn't ask. It didn't feel polite.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI only heard it on a CB FO list, so not sure how accurate or if that's the reason he didn't get mentioned by K-dog.
For Goat, TJ is in shape. Looks fast and fit. He had some weight on his mission he started losing before he got home and he is lean again. His recent wedding is probably the cause of his difficulties yesterday.

Bryant hasn't had many injuries that I know of. You probably mean LJ Rose. There was a rumor last week that Rose turned an ankle but it was minor and he should be ready to go by the time official practice starts on Monday.Originally posted by Topper View PostIf it is just a torn meniscus, it should be recoverable.
