And maybe after about five beers. I was thinking I needed to add that, because even with the ankle weights and the butter ball, Keena still has so much quicker instincts.

Is it just me, or does Yoeli Childs have odd mechanics on his jump shot? Seems like he holds the ball more in his off hand than most shooters. Seems like that could lead to more blocked shots than with more traditional mechanics.
Maybe. I'm not worried about the fine points of his shot, though.

Its definitely a bit of a low release point overall. Sometimes his off hand is more heavily involved (looked to me like that happened more when he was moving laterally while setting up), which caused him to have a bit of a sideways Ronnie Brewer release on those shots. But his rhythm was consistent and smooth. Still, hard to fully analyze without seeing some misses.

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. If we lose to Boise, I agree. If we win, then I can wait a few more weeks.

Anyone else going to Boomshakalaka this year? Sounds like it will be more basketball and less goofing around than previous years. My daughter already requested that we go.

PROVO, Utah – The annual ‘Boom Shakalaka: The BYU Basketball Showcase’ is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. MT in the Marriott Center and will give fans a first look at the BYU men’s and women’s basketball teams.

The men will divide into three teams and play a mini-tournament. The winner of game one will advance to the championship game. The losing team will play against the third team in game two. The winner of game two will advance to the championship.

Following the first two men’s games, the women’s team will divide into two squads and play an eight-minute scrimmage. The men’s championship game will follow the women’s scrimmage.

The BYU Dunk Team will perform at the conclusion of the scrimmages. Following the dunk team’s performance, both the men’s and women’s teams will be available for autographs on the Marriott Center floor. Posters will be provided for autographs and fans can bring one other item to be signed. During the autograph session there will be a basketball skills challenge area for the fans on one half of the court.

Concessions will be open during the event and there will be face painters on the concourse from 6-7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and admission to Boom Shakalaka is free.

To me the two are independent of each other.

Are the gays going to do anything to ruin our basketball season?

I thought we weren't playing them this year. Didn't they buy out the game?
