I am also concerned about the loss of Winder's defense, or at least his ability to match up respectably against more athletic guards. Who fills that role? :nervous:Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThat's a ton of scoring they will miss, but I feel pretty good about a KC and Fischer starting backcourt and Bartley coming off the bench. Seljaas and Emery seem to be freshmen capable of major contributions, but you just never know.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I'm disappointed that you people have got to enjoy the BYU victory over the Zags, but overall I'm pleased that it happened. Seeing Mark Few lose is almost always good. In college hoops, the 3 most evil teams are (in order): 1) THEM; 2) a team coached by Mark Few; and, 3) BYU.
This should end any of that bullshit talk of the Zags being deserving of a 1 seed. It also helps the Utes as it raises the profile of our only quality road victory. Overall, it was a good thing. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Funk, why the weird obsession with Few?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

You mean the guy that played a huge role in Ute basketball going to shit and then talked shit about Ute basketball when we fired his incompetent little buddy that we hired?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostFunk, why the weird obsession with Few?
Look, it is still Chris Hill's fault for hiring Giacoletti, but Few's glowing recommendation of him played a major role in hiring him. Few did a ton of damage to the Ute basketball program. If I'm ranking the people most responsible for what happened to Utah it is 1) Hill; 2) Boylen; 3) Few; and, 4) Giacoletti. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Yeah that explanation didn't make it seem any less like a weird obsession. This is Kevin Bacon-level association that is causing such apparent consternation.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostYou mean the guy that played a huge role in Ute basketball going to shit and then talked shit about Ute basketball when we fired his incompetent little buddy that we hired?

It doesn't take much at all to get on funk's "hate-with-the-fire-of-a-thousand-suns" list.Originally posted by Commando View PostYeah that explanation didn't make it seem any less like a weird obsession. More effective, but not as aesthetically pleasing. Kafusi's block was nice, but any competent big man with some length makes that block. Frank came from out of nowhere, and tracked that block all the way from halfcourt. And he used his off hand just to make it even prettier. Kafusi's did stay in bounds, and BYU grabbed the rebound, so it was definitely the more effective block.Originally posted by Crockett View PostIt was, but that smash by Kafusi on Sabonis was even better.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I really worry about Fisher. Can be an excellent catch and shoot 3 point guy. I don't think he can drive and dish very well or finish like Winder. Not sure how good he is defensively. As a shooter who can get hot, well I think he is good at that.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThat's a ton of scoring they will miss, but I feel pretty good about a KC and Fischer starting backcourt and Bartley coming off the bench.
