I agree with this which is astonishing with all the nonsense you normally spout.

You can't agree with this. You wanted Nate Austin, which would have meant much less playing/learning time for corb.

we can add beating gonzaga in Spokane to the list of reasons why we don't really miss Nate much

Looks like a nipple-twister as well. Pretty impressive multi-tasking.

Right, because there's only time for one big to play...

Corb needed all the time he got. With Nate, corb would have been lucky to get half the time he received. k-dog has already agreed with me on that issue.

next season Nate will be back to serve basically no purpose now that corb has established himself as the clear starting center.

              • I went to bed at halftime

I figured they'd find a way to blow it and when the first half lead disintegrated I figured I was right. Thankfully I was dead wrong, as usual. Kudos to the team for playing with balls.

The numbers don't support this. Plus I'm confident Coach Rose would have increased his minutes over time even with Nate the Great. Worthington would have lost minutes, no doubt.

                  • I've now watched some of the game and Corb's development on defense has been incredible. He stays on the ground and uses his length. He also doesn't feel like he has to swat every single ball. I'm not quite sure how well he plays his assignments, but I do know his fundamentals are improving. Let's hope he continues to progress. It would be fun to have him and Mika together for a couple years.

                      Isn't nate the 4, though?

depends on the lineup on the floor. He has definitely logged mins as both.

                        • I like the Corb/Nate and Davis/Aytes combos we'll have next year as bigs. Wonder who the 5th big will be.

We know who won't be there for sure.

Probably Nielsen. He would not be totally terrible as a 5th big.

I like that lineup a lot. We also have Hartsock and Shaw back to add to the frontcourt. The backcourt will be interesting though with Winder, Dobby and Haws gone. KC and Fischer will start. Not sure who joins them. Bartley and the super freshmen Emery and Seljaas. Calvert will also be back. Chatman should be healthy.
