You could put it that way, or you could more accurately say that Nate Cooper viciously attacked Van Horn because he was embarrassing him on the court. Nate Cooper tried to end the promising career of Van Horn and try to deprive him and his children of millions of dollars. Sounds like Van Horn went too far and was justifiably given a technical.One minute later, Van Horn took a hard foul from Cooper while going up for a shot in the lane. They scuffled and Van Horn was charged with an unsportsmanlike technical foul. Roberts converted the two free throws and BYU led 32-27.
