"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Not a slam dunk for those who have already picked both UNC and UVA.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostNice to get rid of a chunk of remaining competition. tomorrow sucks though. I get through tomorrow, I'll get to next weekend. Sunday is a slam dunk.
I was kind of hoping it would end before then.
On the bright side, pretty good chance I won't get to Sunday at all.

Today's games are pretty much a toss up. One of us (between you and me) will advance to Sunday and it's likely that only two of the four left will make it there.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostNot a slam dunk for those who have already picked both UNC and UVA.

I don't know anything about that. I'm like Bronco; I just execute my own game plan, and don't worry about what my opponent is doing.Originally posted by Moliere View PostToday's games are pretty much a toss up. My head says Kansas, gut says Villanova. Like Joe Hallenbeck's buddy, when faced with that decision, I went gut.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostNot a slam dunk for those who have already picked both UNC and UVA.

I may be calculating wrong, but I thought all 4 could possibly make it, with a likelihood of 3 or 2 advancing to Sunday. Then Sunday gets a little hairier. I'm stuck on the decision for today.
Btw, I heard the song a few weeks ago on the Music Choice stations and now I'm plagued by Ronnie Milsap's voice whenever I see a post by smr.I have nothing else to say at this time.

I think the money should go to the one person who took a risk on their pick this week.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Knockout Game: NCAA Tournament Knockout Pool
Two will advance and two will go home. I'm not home to post a capture, but here are the picks:
smr: Nova
PH: Kansas
Moliere: Oregon
CA: OklahomaPrepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Love that we all picked different teams."Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
