They could finish 9-9 in the pac with 22 wins and not get in to the tourney with a OOC schedule like that.
LOL. Depending on which site you use, CBS' RPItracker has Utah's SOS ranked 290. RealTimeRPI has it ranked 307.

Baby steps. Aphid baby steps. No, virus baby steps.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Stanford up 14 against Northwestern with about 1:30 to go in the game.

Northwestern has a player named Sanjay.

WCC wins 3 more last night. The conference is now 22-1. The Big 10 is 24-2 after Northwestern went down to Stanford last night. SMC beat a North Dakota team that most predicted will win their league and go dancing. I thought Stephen Holt graduated for some reason. That guy killed us last year at the Mac, if he doesn't shoot like he did, Delly doesn't even have a chance to do what he did. Speaking of which I didn't know he made the Cavs roster. He's even getting some playing time.

I know he has been the student body president for the last three years, ever since his first junior year.

UNC almost went down to Holy Cross today. Now Michigan State is going to squeak one out against Columbia.

I don't understand the hype surrounding Marcus Smart. IIRC, he's a pre-season 1st team AA, he's been mentioned as a top 5 overall draft pick, but I wonder at what point does his actual play on the court become more important than hype/reputation? Last season he shot 40% FGs, 29% 3pt, with just barely more than a 1:1 assist/TO ratio. This season despite the fact that OK St has overmatched all their opponents so far, he's shooting just 40% FG, 31% 3pt with a 1:1 assist/TO. These are the games when the big time players are supposed to dominate and really pad the stats. What am I missing with Smart? Is he good at something? Shooting from long distance, shooting efficiency, passing, taking care of the ball and decision making don't seem to be strengths of his. Maybe he's elite defensively? He does get a lot of steals.

                      He is D Wade, defensively.

I was watching Ohio State and Marquette while I was at the gym. That first half may have been the most brutal basketball I have ever seen. I can't believe these are two ranked teams. It was 3-4 for about 8 minutes and the score was just 10-8 at the 10 minute mark. Brick after brick. Marquette made 10 FGs the entire game. They had 20 turnovers. Also, it seems like Aaron Craft has been playing forever.

I had completely forgotten about that guy.

Struggled last year, but off to a nice start, albeit against pretty bad competition, this year.

There is the preview for BYU's next opponent, Iowa State and Michigan. It looks like Iowa State may have a chance to knock off the #7 team.
