    • A fan was just ejected from the Memphis/UCF game for heckling the ref on a weak call. I wonder what he had to say for that to happen.

Not according to CJ, he only shoots 41 percent from the field and sucks.

"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

One game does not make an entire season.

If he wasn't 2-6 before that shot they wouldn't have needed it.

I also never said he sucks. Please don't put words in my mouth.

            You certainly implied it.

Yep, Boeheim said it was his worst game of the season - then the shot.

Not surprised Boeheim agrees with me and not Topper.

Boeheim agrees with you that Ennis sucks?

No, Boeheim would not play a sucky freshman. In his worst game as a freshman, he hit the important game-winning shot in an away game against a ranked opponent.

Yep that sounds as if he sucks.

                  • It is now looking more and more like the Utes are the best team in the State of Utah this year.

Pomeroy ratings have Utah best in the state at 40 with BYU 2nd at 56.
Sagarin ratings have BYU best in the state at 48, but Utah is only 4 spots behind at 52.
Utah won the head-to-head match up with BYU.

I'm not entirely convinced that Delon Wright isn't the best player in the state. Haws is the best scorer, but Delon Wright's all around game may make him the better player. He is still shooting almost 60% from the floor.

Man, we really suck this year.

Utah is not a bad team anymore. I think Utah has been upgraded to mediocre.

Shows the difference in expectations. Ute fans are pumped about what the team has done this year. (1 road win?). BYU fans are distraught and calling the season a disaster. Yet the cherry picked numbers MPfunk chose, shows they are pretty much the same team.

RPI on the other hand is completely different.

RPI is a function of Utah mistakenly throwing in the towel before the season even started. I wonder if they told Delon that was the plan when they recruited him?

If I'm drafting for a college team from players in the state I think I'd have to take Wright number 1. I don't know which is "the better player" but a dominant PG is #1 on the wish list in college basketball.

...other than the blowout when the two teams played each other.

Also, Funk, you are way to obsequious (thanks SU!) about the Wright/Haws comparison on this site. Wright is the better player, period. And that's not a dis on Haws- I like Haws and desperately wish he played for Utah. But I wouldn't even consider trading Delon for him. Delon is an elite rebounder for his position, an exceptional distributor, an elite, NBA-level finisher, and a great defender (although he should be even better). The only flaw in his game is that he can't shoot 3s. If he could, we'd be talking about a potential lottery pick rather than a late first/early second rounder.

Haws is an elite scorer. Full stop. Topper agrees with me.

                              • Why are BYU fans arguing with Ute fans about basketball? BYU holds the advantage in the all-time head-to-head matchup between the two. What is there to discuss??
