Someone tweeted during the Michigan State and Kentucky game that it looked like a fundamental team vs AAU team. I agree. Still, that much talent can take you a long way. The problem is when you run into a Michigan State, Kansas or Duke who has similar talent with fundamentals.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostDuke and Kansas both look good.
Kentucky seems to lack perimeter shooters.
Michigan st. plays ferocious defense and I love how they push it in transition.

All the stars are shining. People were killing Randle in the first half and he shut them all up in the second half. Wiggins looks good. Jabari looks great. I'm surprised that he is as consistent an outside shooter the way he fades on his j."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Yeah. Izzo really is a great coach. He doesn't just rely on good recruiting -- you can tell his teams are really polished on both ends.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostDuke and Kansas both look good.

Agree that Kentucky is overrated -- 4/20 on 3s isn't going to get it done.
Man there has been some bad FT shooting on display tonight. Virginia and VCU were 25/48 from the line combined. Kentucky just 20/36 from the FT line.

Jabari has a little bit of old man game, and I mean that as a compliment. Knows when to use the glass, how to protect the ball in traffic, understands floor spacing.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostJabari has by far the best fundamentals and the best all around game.
The rest seem like great athletes but need more work. They might have higher ceilings but who knows if they get there.
Jabari is an 18 and 8 guy right now in the nba.

And then he throws down an alley oop like that. Yikes.

I have been using the Paul Pierce comparison for a long time.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostJabari has a little bit of old man game, and I mean that as a compliment. Knows when to use the glass, how to protect the ball in traffic, understands floor spacing.

I've seen Paul Pierce and Carmelo as two of the more frequent comps. He's been a very good rebounder tonight too. His offensive game is a lot like Melo, but he seems to be better on the defensive end (attitude, hustle, etc).Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI have been using the Paul Pierce comparison for a long time.

He's a baller, that's for sure.

How shitty is your b-ball program when even the students who go to that school don't want to go to the basketball games? That is truly sad. Oh Utah Basketball, how far hast thou fallen!!Originally posted by Sizzle View PostI will pay $200 if we can get 700 students to show up to our game! You can't make that up."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

I think Perry Ellis is my favorite non-BYU player in the nation.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
