At this point, who would the 4th face be? Durrant? Smith? Nashif?

I have thought about that. It would probably be Durrant. But he would be the Teddy Roosevelt of the group.

If anything, I'm impressed with the improvement and adjustments he made to ensure that wouldn't happen again.

But as DH has reminded us, you are correct that Haws isn't a lottery pick. Kudos.
not to mention that gonzaga team was really good

I think I'd go Smith over Durrant, but that could be because Smith was a childhood hero, while I have very little recollection of watching Durrant.

So you want a good BYU player to assist in only beating bad teams?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

                • To bad Haws is not more like Marcus Smart.

3-14 in a loss at Kansas
6-18 in a loss against Oklahoma
4-13 in a loss to Memphis
4-16 in a loss against Kansas state.

I also wish Haws shot 41% from the floor and 32% from three like Smart.

I mean Smart sucks against good teams but what about thr bad teams like Pacific?

                  5-13 against Utah Valley
                  3-9 against Arkansas Pine-Bluff
                  4-10 against Mississippi valley state.

Damn that Haws for not being as good.

                    That explains a lot.

So I wasn't around but I keep seeing people say MW once claimed he could take Jimmer one on one. Is this true? If so he should be banned from critiquing basketball ever again.

He said he could shut him down one on one. Its been a while but I think he also claimed either a chair or a garbage can could guard him.

Maybe he's not as good as people think.

Tyler Ennis has done okay for a freshman point guard.

Or maybe Haws is better than you think.

There are 12 guys on scholarship, right? I'm not sure he is referring to Worthington. He is a freshman, after-all.

That's harsh. I'd take him on my rec league team any day!
But anyway, maybe there is still hope. Before the season, Mekeli told me that he was watching the guys during pre-season and he was more excited about Worthington than Mika. Sure, he was way off, but there may still be something there. I'd wager that Worthington would turn into a quality big at USU, but I have never thought Rose developed big men like Stew.

Uh. Ty is a junior. There's no reason to think BYU won't be at least a little better next year. Unless you think Mika is the difference maker. I'll go ahead and guarantee a tourney birth next year. Maybe that will help keep your spirits up.
