You are almost as wrong as two boys neckin'! Which isn't really very wrong anymore.

I hope we don't have to find out but I really think we have two ways in: Win the WCC tourney or lose to Gonzaga in the WCC tourney.

Here are the scenarios I see for BYU:

1.) Win the WCC Tourney by beating the 'Zags in the championship game. I don't think this is the highest probability as I think the Zags are playing pretty good ball and certainly well enough to beat BYU on a neutral court. But it is also not entirely out of the realm of possibility. I think if BYU does this they will get a 10 seed and perhaps as high as a 9 seed if BYU looks good in the win and does it in a convincing manner.

2.) Lose in the WCC tourney final to the Zags. I think if this happens BYU is in as an 11 or 12 seed.

3.) Win the WCC tourney by beating someone other than the Zags in the final. BYU is in as an 11 seed.

4.) Lose to anyone other than the Zags in the WCC tourney, even if it is the championship, BYU is in the NIT.

Pretty much. Those 4 ugly losses hurt.

This year there are too many bubble teams who will have opportunities to beat teams in their tourneys who will elevate their profile and resume above BYU. Nobody in BYU's bracket helps them. And nobody in the championship game besides Gonzaga helps them.

I think we need to win the first tournament game. I would then forfeit the next game claiming we are observing some "gay rights" special anniversary. No one in their right mind would keep us out for observing the anniversary instead of playing.

In addition we would get some browny points with the Eric Holder.

I would hate to see some team luck out and beat us in the second round depriving us of the opportunity to go to the "big dance".

ESPN has us in at a 12 seed in Spokane. I like that. Think of all the Gonzaga fans that will be cheering for us.

I agree. If we get beat in the finals by someone other than Gonzaga, we are out.

BYU will win the conference tournament. We have fixed our defensive problems that cost us regular season championship. We are the most battle tested. We are the deepest. We are the most talented.

This team will end the season on a hot streak and go to the NCAA tournament as a dangerous 10 seed.

Agreed. I do believe we will for sure get 2. That's why I think (as long as Gonzaga wins the whole thing), we get a bid even if we lose out in the semis.
