Guess it wasn't that great of a danish. Utah was outnegotiated by BYU money! All hail Tom Holmoe!

I think the Spirit also whispered to Coach Rose. It was never going to happen. He knew that too many Mothers Who Know were depending on him. He also knew BYU would cough up a lot of money to avert such a disaster.

The spirit can move in reverent environments. Rose would have been one hell of a coach at the Huntsmen. It is quiet there and no volleyball lines to interupt!

LA, You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in the PAC-12" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Black Knight when death is on the line"!

The Redhawks have actually been a D1 Independent for the last two years, moving up from DII in 2009-10.

I think they exude a kind of élan. (That's Martinelli's in the bottles, BTW.)

                  • There are internet rumors and people who spread them

But LA Ute doesn't go that route. He actually knows people at the U. I know this for a fact.

His informaiton is the best information on what Donny Daniels will and won't do, whether Bennett was willing to come for more money, whether Hill told Boylen 2 more years (this one is so ridiculous it hurts--Hill would have fired Boylen after year 3 if he hadn't just won a conference title and been given an extension. Hill was so damn miffed about Boylen's season 3 and how things were handled by Boylen that he couldn't see straight. There is no way on God's green earth he told him two more years).

Bottom line is, follow what LA is saying and ignore the rest. He actually has connections.

Boylen really endeared himself to a small group of very vocal internet fans. He made everybody who met him feel like he was their friend.

Goatnapper's post is right. Boylen didn't win, he wasn't going to win and it was a good move to fire him regardless of what this vocal minority claims.

What if I know someone else who also actually knows people at the U? What if I know that for a fact? What if this person's information has been dead-on regarding other U happenings? What if that person disagrees with LA Ute?

Then we have two truths colliding. You know for a fact that "A" is true, and I know for a fact that "A" is false. I think that unless we stop we are going to cause a tear in the space-time continuum. If that happens there's no telling where we will all end up.

That is the trouble with these kinds of things. I mean no offense, but unless you or my source talked to Daniels or Bennett, then neither of you can know what they said or did. Just because someone in the athletic department says something, that doesn't make it true. I am not accusing anyone of being a liar, but it is a simple fact that people do not always tell the truth.

Or, they tell the truth as they see it. It's always interesting to me how three different eyewitnesses to the same event can tell a different story about what they saw or heard, or think they saw or heard.

(p.s. I was kidding about the space-time continuum. I think it is safe for now. )

Yes, that too. One of the best examples of that is Colin P. Kelly getting credit for sinking a Japanese battleship.

An example of what I was talking about is the Army not wanting to admit that Pat Tillman died from friendly fire.
