I would usually agree with that...but it may just get much, much worse.

On the Ute team:

• Jiggy led the team in scoring, by 7 points. 17.7 points per game
• 2nd leading rebounder on the team
• Leading assist maker on the team (double the next closest, Kareem Storey)
• Tied for 2nd in steals
• Most free throw attempts and makes on the team (double the next closest)

As crazy as it sounds, it can't get more interesting than this. If the Utes were average, they would win or lose and thats life. This year, the only way that it could get more exciting was if they were undefeated. Will the Utes win 1 more game this year? CAN THEY? WILL THEY? My mind is aflutter with the possibilities. This year just became a true barn burner.

At least it clears up the 'logjam' at point guard!

I am looking at the next 5 games. They may have a shot against Portland or Idaho State, otherwise, 0-5 during this stretch is most likely.

Utah fans I come not to mock your terrible 2011-12 season. I come to show you a glimmer of hope. (One that I am jealous of)

I have had more than my share of problems with Washburn. But, to be honest, I have been relatively pleased with him this year. He has played much better than I expected. He still completely disappears. He is still not a good rebounder...but he is a better player this year.

I know you were semi joking, but if you had watched any of the games you would realize that Dawson and Wilkinson are completely outmatched when they play either position. At least Washburn is competent there. I am not kidding - if he was gone this year, the Utes would be completely doomed. And they would probably get 5 points and 5 rebounds total out of the Center and Power Forward positions. With him, at least they have showed some life.

He signed a letter of intent, so no, I don't see how he could back out.

Disagree. Washburn is starting to show what happens when you actually receive coaching. Double-double the last two games is a good start.

I think Krysko is establishing that he is the boss. It's too bad (super-understatement there) it had to come to this to establish the coach's position, but LK clearly has free reign to take such steps. On a program culture level, I like it. Boylen must have really let the animals run the zoo.

He could easily redshirt a year and then play somewhere. But he obviously doesnt care about going to a winning program. He only cares about playing time and he will get plenty of that at utah.

I always find it amusing when BYU fans rip on Loveridge or question his interest in winning when BYU went thru the same things years ago and good players decided to go to BYU and try to turn things around.

I am sure Loveridge likes the idea of lots of playing time...I just love that he is willing to try and help turn things around for the Utes. It has to start somewhere and I am appreciative of players willing to take on a huge load and bring back winning to Utah.
