He has WCC like arena experience along complete with volleyball lines. He doesn't look like a great athlete and he has a very awkward looking shot. Some of those blocks look like TJ and Jimmer in the back yard.

I'm not convinced that's true. If given the minutes he could likely average the block and rebound numbers you mention. If given the minutes. That in itself would be questionable, however.

I don't know. I don't know how Anderson looked as a senior in high school like those highlights showed of Pina. And Pina hasn't had two years of being coached up by Terry Nashif.

My understanding is he will not be a scholarship player. But I agree with you, it seems like a waste of time.

Maybe he'll be the next Gavin McGregor and I can yell corn fed at him while he hacks the shit out of opposing team's more skilled bigs.

Did you watch the video? He was horrible in that video. I hope that was high school or something because it looked awful. Anderson's HS film was much better and Anderson would own the JC ranks ... if anyone would pass him the rock.

I am really happy for Rice. This sucks monkey balls for us, but this was his dream job and he deserved it. Also, there goes our Vegas recruits. Interesting that UNLV thinks high enough to hire him over the likes of Mike Dunlap, Ernie Kent, Reggie Theus, and Larry Brown.
