To those of you thinking K Collinsworth might end up at the 4, or the doubters of his ability to play the point...Dave Rice apparently says that KC will play point guard when he returns from his mission. But of course, that will depend on who we have at point in the program in 3 years.

This should really be in the 2013-2014 basketball thread anyway.

Any info come out yet on Carlino being able to accompany the team on the overseas trip? My guess is that he can't go. Don't see why he'd have to pay his own way for road trips this season but then could have the school pay his way to Greece or wherever it is they're headed. But having him and Harrison go on that trip would really benefit the coaches and team for next season.

I like this news for Jay Drew,

Tipster in Oklahoma: BYU basketball coach Dave Rose has told Oklahoma he isn't interested; Sooners are interviewing someone else today.

I basically see no way that Harward isn't a superstar, he has the name for it for sure.

            Es bueno.

BYU has a new contract for Rose to sign and folks in Provo expect he will agree to it, sign it and be happy with the contents.

Great news. I hope he sings it.

His name reminds me of Dan Howard (i.e. the Obi-Wan to James Anderson's Luke Skywalker).

Remember that time Utes thought they were going to hire away our coach?

If the Rose contract news is true, I'm very glad that BYU got a deal put together quickly, and they're confident that Rose will like it. Holmoe seems to be doing a great job. I was honestly a bit worried that BYU would wait a while before showing Dave any love.

Now let's just hope he signs.

I agree. Holmoe will finish his tenure as the AD with BYU having its most consistent run in the only two things about his job that I really care.

Holmoe has been AD for six years and in that six years BYU has had three top 15 football teams, won 4 bowl games, won two outright football conference championships, had the hoops team invited to the WCC, gone independent in football, won two outright conference championships in hoops, tied for two conference championships in hoops, gone to the NCAA tourney 5 times, won 3 games in the NCAA tourney, locked in the best hoop coach in BYU history to probably a career at the BYU, made my nipples hard numerous times, offended UNLV fans (whose final memory was Jimmer grudgedoin' em up the keester) and gave the mullahs all the moral highground they needed through the Brandon Davies pecker stomping brouhaha.

Most of the above is pretty damn good given the restrictions and challenges at the BYU.

I vote for Holmoe to get a raise!
