Plus no one to bail them out when the shot clock gets down to 7 seconds. Over the last couple of years I have gotten so used to just seeing Jimmer pull something out of nowhere. I think this team is used to that too, no one seems to know what to do at the end of the clock.

A lot of ugly shots, which isn't that surprising for a group that lost Jimmer, Jackson, and Davies, but also some pretty poor defense, which does surprise me some.

Carlino, Davies, and Chris Collinsworth who are arguably BYUs 3 best players are really missed right now.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, BYU simply isn't a good team right now. They have no inside game and the PG play is horrific - that is not a good combination. What that leads to is a team resorting to jacking long, contested, threes on nearly every trip. Granted, I started watching at 14-12, and stopped at 26-12, but based on what I saw, BYU doesn't belong on the same floor as Greece.

Martineau is really really bad. He has no place on a D1 team. This may be Rose's worst team since he's been the head coach. Even with Davies, Collinsworth and Carlino it will be miracle if they can make it into the tournament.

I'm not worried though. I think they have a down year and then get back to playing good basketball the next year. Missions have taken a toll on this team where they had a good run of good players not going for a few years.
