I like Jimmer as much as the next nonBYU guy. In fact, UteStarrer may become my new name...but I would take a triple double in an Elite 8 NCAA basketball game over 49 points in a December outing any day of the week, including 3 times on Wednesday and twice on Thursday.

With that said, I think the Jimmer is the best college player in the country right now.

Sorry but 49 against Arizona surpasses Millers triple double. 13 assists that is largely dependent on your teammates, 14 rebounds is nice but he is a guard if he wasn't busy padding his stats he might have been able to push the break a bit more. 18 points is not impressive.

Jimmer had 0 assists in his 47-point game against Utah, while Miller had a hand in 44 points. And how the hell do you get 13 assists if you're walking the ball up the court? Miller was grabbing rebounds and beating the entire 'Zona team down the floor.

Miller's game gets mentioned every year in March when anyone comes within shouting distance of a triple-double. I'm as big a fan of Fredette's this year as any Utah fan, but saying Fredette's 47 trumps Miller's Elite 8 game is on crack.

That is crazy. I don't know of any coach in history that has that clause in their contract and I can't imagine that Boylen is the first. If he is, then that is the worst college head coaching contract that I have heard, from the coach's end. If Boylen is fired, the Utes will be paying him for the next few years.

Jimmer's game was a regular season game, no one will remember it. Andre Miller's was in the elite eight and took the Utes to the final four and it was against the best competition in the country. You know a number 1 seed against a 1st team all-american that plays the same position and was a 2nd pick in the NBA draft. Miller's was a much bigger game, this isn't even a debate. If Jimmer drops 49 in the elite eight, come and talk to me.

Oh and thanks for proving that you know nothing about that game. Utah pushed the tempo against Arizona in that game. It was a rare move for the Utes, but a brilliant coaching move by Majerus. Miller beat the shit out of Arizona's press. Driving and dishing because he individually beat the press. He was also grabbing rebounds and pushing it down the floor and beating the entire Arizona team.
