This was posted on ESPN at 4:01 PM ET (hilarious that the "unconfirmed reports" link is to a UF.net post):
Who replaces Boylen at Utah?
UPDATE: According to Mike Sorensen of the Deseret News, there has been chatter on internet message boards about Utah staying in-state to hire BYU's Dave Rose, BYU assistant Dave Rice or Utah State's Stew Morrill as its next men's head basketball coach.
Those aren't the only new names to pop up as potential candidates for the job. Another is Virginia's Tony Bennett, who in two seasons with the Cavaliers has failed to repeat his success he had at Washington State. Could Bennett return to the West Coast and take over at Utah as it is set to join the Pac-12 Conference? We think so. There are unconfirmed reports that Bennett has already reached out to Utah, and even if that is false it doesn't necessarily rule him out.
Another local name to watch: Weber State's Randy Rahe. The Big Sky coach continually has the Wildcats at the top of the conference and though the Wildcats stumbled in the conference tourney, the squad missed Damian Lillard for three-quarters of the year.
We'll keep you updated on the Utes' coaching situation as information continues to trickle in.

I think that it is sad that during the week they will be able to hire their new coach and start a new era, they are totally focused on BYU.Originally posted by YOhio View PostHoly cow! Why do you always have to be such a zoot about everything? Instead of talking about getting a new coach, all you want to do is talk about BYU. Super lame, IPZ.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Weird. Really?
Also, for all of you wondering where I get my great avatars, I have sent boardmails to all of you. I think it was something like 37 boardmails to different posters who love my avatars.

They're just following the national trend as BYU has captured America's interest in a way their institution never has.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI think that it is sad that during the week they will be able to hire their new coach and start a new era, they are totally focused on BYU.

Holy cow! Your team got a well deserved 3 seeding in the tournament with arguably it's best chance in decades to make a run to at least the Sweet 16 and all you want to do is talk about me.Originally posted by YOhio View PostHoly cow! Scratch Tren Johnson (for now)...
LSU men's basketball coach Trent Johnson released a statement Monday announcing his plans to stay at LSU.
"Contrary to published reports, I have no interest in leaving LSU for another school," Johnson said in a news release.
The Salt Lake Tribune had reported Johnson was a candidate for the head coaching vacancy at Utah, where former coach Jim Boylen was fired after a dismal 13-18 season."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Just an update for you guys
TheSabre.com confirmed with UVa Athletics Director Craig Littlepage. “Tony and I spoke about these rumors [Tuesday] morning. … He stated to me he is extremely happy at UVa and has no interest in other jobs,” Littlepage said by email. “He’s focused on making this the best program and all of his time and energy are put into UVa.”
I have heard rumours you are targeting Blaine Taylor. he's a great coach. good luck!

I'd love to see the utes hire Rahe simply for the entertainment value. Not that Rahe wouldn't be a good coach, but it seems obvious most ute fans are looking for a big name guy and the meltdown over a Rahe hiring would be too good.I'm like LeBron James.
