Damn. I think he's the best in Utah high school right now by far next to TJ.

ps, I know you guys look for me to give you the 411 on actual height for potential recruits. I saw AF's Andrus standing next to Utah's Jason Washburn (who was listed as 6'10) at a summer league game yesterday, and Andrus looked to be a half inch taller.

Why would anyone want to play basketball at Utah? What an idiot. He has an offer to Arizona. That's where you go.

If my kid was a high end basketball recruit, Utah would not be where we'd look at in state.

He's turning down Arizona to play at Utah? I remember Majerus accusing a BYU recruit to be a peanut brain. It sounds as if the shoe is on the other foot.
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

        • If Krystko can get Brekkot, he is on to something instate. Getting him and Loveridge would go a long way to solidifying instate recruiting as well as putting a much better team on the floor. I hope he can get that commitment.

Retraction on Seljaas. I was mixing him up with teammate Jeff Pollard. Seljaas does appear to have some game. We'll see.

            • I've been watching a lot of Utah HS basketball in summer league games the last couple months. A kid I haven't heard mentioned that I wonder about. Noah Togiai. 6'4 he'll be a junior at Hunter. Crazy athletic as in ridiculously athletic. Does he play football? I googled a little. He averaged 15 a game as a soph at Hunter in basketball, and it appears he plays football, but I couldn't find much on him.

              • Haws sure looks like he's going to be a good one. That dime at :51 is just filthy for an offhand pass. Couple of those forays to the hoop looked very Manu-ish.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

                • Does Haws plan on serving right out of HS? It's too bad we won't get to see Haws, Haws, Emery, and KC play on the same team. They bring so many distinct yet complimentary skills to the table.

I think he's undecided if he goes straight out of HS still right? Some have been saying he wants to play with big bro one year. I'd love to see that. But really I'd love 3 years with him, Nick and Mika more.

Thanks for the heads up on this kid. I'll be paying attention in the winter.

                          • Gonna be tough to reel him in. I wish these guys would get together and see what they could accomplish at BYU. It could be a real fun team with Dastup, Mika, CHapman, and all the Lone Peak kids.

                            • Santos, do you know anything about or have you been to the Big Mountain Jam at the South Towne Expo Center? I'm curious if it's worth heading over there for an afternoon - depending on what kind of talent might there.

Yes, my boy's team is playing and has played last couple years. Utah's best all star teams played last year. Kind of cool having all those courts in one big space.
