Jordan Stone to BYU to play next year? 6'10" 270 lbs, good post defender. Limited offensively but would give us another true big with major college experience.

He is. I hope we can pick him up. We could use additional size with experience for next year. It makes sense and would be exciting. I hope we're talking to him or someone like him.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostIs he graduating this spring or summer, with a year to play?

Really? I'd rather keep Sharp if it meant he'd have to go to get Stone. Stone is a stiff who gives little at either end.Originally posted by KillerDog View PostHe is. I hope we can pick him up. We have Nielsen coming in who is better than Stone. If Stone wants to walk on I am fine with that.Originally posted by Surfah View PostReally? I'd rather keep Sharp if it meant he'd have to go to get Stone. Stone is a stiff who gives little at either end.
Stone would not fit in BYUs offense.

lol. That would be hilarious. Maybe we can pick up the Ginger Jimmer in a trade.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostAnyone else hear the rumor that Carlino is transferring to unlv? There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

He would have to graduate and then enroll in a masters program at the new school that is not offered by BYU. I'm sure there would be quite a few choices at UNLV.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostAnyone else hear the rumor that Carlino is transferring to unlv? Does he graduate or something? I see nothing Stone provides that Worthington wouldn't for next year - namely a big bruiser to go in and "lien" on people until they foul out. Now if he is going to be a walk on it wouldn't hurt, but if BYU is going to offer a scholarship it needs to be somebody who can contribute more than any of the returning big men - especially on the offensive end. No reason to yank a scholarship and create the ill will that will ensue unless there is some benefit to the program.Originally posted by Surfah View PostReally? I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

USU seems to be having a Boylenesque mass exodus. On the USU board there was some speculation that Davis would transfer to BYU.
