Why is that? Depending on who you ask he is anywhere from 6'8 to 6'10. With his athleticism he will do well either way. He is at minimum the same height as Davies and twice the athlete.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostI've not seen him play before. He seems like he's got good strength, decent ups, but I'd be more excited if he were 2 inches taller.*Banned*

He looked to be more 6'8'' than 6'10''. Why is height important for a 4/5 in basketball? I suppose because it gives the player certain offensive and defensive advantages on the court.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostWhy is that? He missed a lot of the season. He missed a few games in December, and then he came back for a few weeks, then out the rest. I saw them with him and without him, and I thought they were 10 points better with him.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostWhen did he go down? The box score shows that he did play today (could be inaccurate). They have won 10 in a row with 9 of them by double digits. The only close game was a 6 point win over Timpview who actually beat them earlier in the year. I have not seen many close games out of them this year.

I would like to see him go straight on his mission and play 4 consecutive when he returns. I would also like to see KC and Haws redshirt next year and just tank the season in order to set up some great years when the LP kids start getting back from their missions.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostThat's disappointing. I was hoping he wouldn't go at all.

My analysis of Brekkot Chapman:
I saw him a little in summer ball and was impressed at how well he moved for his height. Watched him yesterday at the state playoffs. I'm usually the height buzz kill guy. This kid is listed as 6'8 and he looks every inch of that. He's also got very long arms. Very good shot blocker. His game is very raw, but he's got ton of potential. He looks like he has a good outside shooting stroke and took a couple three's, making one, but was terrible at the FT line. He has great footwork and the potential to be a beast in the post, but seemed like he didn't know what to do at times to exploit his height advantage on the low block. He's very quick and took his man that was four inches shorter off the dribble a few times, once with a sick crossover. He did make a lot of mental mistakes and was really gassed the whole game. Based on that and how raw his skills are, I assume he doesn't have the best work ethic, but I also assume he hasn't had the best guidance and coaching. He has a ton of upside.
I would love to see this kid in a BYU uniform.

Watching a little of LP vs Davis. Davis has three big guys all listed at 6'7. fwiw, Mika looks like he might have 2-3 inches on these guys. Of course that height might be all in his head, so I'm not sure if it means anything. It's hard to tell how he matches up shoulder to shoulder.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostYou need to bone up and become a student of MG's posts.

Mika just took a pretty nasty tumble under the basket. Came up limping.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Is this Darger related to the one who went to UNLV?Originally posted by jay santos View PostAgree. Darger is very good. He's about 6'5 and played the 5 for them, and seriously is about as good a high school 5 as you will ever see. So smooth. They were just a little soft inside without him, plus their starting 5 all could kill you, but there was a HUGE drop off to their bench. So without him, they had four stars but had to put someone on the floor that you could take advantage of. I still think they were the best 4A team in the state even without him.
