Rivals says he has offers from Arizona, UConn and Gonzaga. I've read rumors that he wants to leave the state, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's just waiting to see what other offers he gets, but why not one of those?

Didn't realize he had the UConn or the UofA offer. Clearly ESPN doesn't have the latest. Those are legit offers if true.

Yeah, ESPN can get behind. They didn't even list BYU on Childs' list until now that he committed to BYU.

Why is the BYU season thread closed? Anyway, they released the schedule today. Long Beach State, Belmont, the Utah schools, and Auburn/New Mexico are the only notables (if that is the right word). Not that impressive. We can't stumble through the WCC this year.

As long as we beat Auburn/New Mexico there should be one more fairly good team, but other than that, yes, pretty much agree.

Not a total cupcake, so as long as we take care of business against most of the "big" non-conference opponents, we should be OK.

We can still play Oklahoma in that tournament in Hawaii in the third game.

They wait until ESPN picks all their games, which it seems they have done. The rest of the home games and whatever they have at ESA then all go onto BYUTV, but it hasn't been officially announced yet. That's what they've always done though. For the remaining non-conference road games it's up to whatever TV arrangement the other team has. For the road WCC games sometimes BYUTV can get some of those, but likely they'll end up on Root, TW, or one of those regionals the league has a deal with, along with thew.tv.

Harvard was a top 50 team last year and was supposed to be good again but they just lost their point guard for the season. Still, they're well coached. If we beat them it should turn out to be a decent win. A win at Utah would be big. We need that one, and I think this year's team is much better structured to get it.

The more important thing is they mentioin DJs cousin Josh Pollard who was at Kansas this year, looking to play at BYU this season.

Not sure if he will contribute at all, but he was good enough to walk on at Kansas.

This year's team is rather loaded as far as depth, on paper. It is reported that Hamson is also walking on. I realize he is paper thin and injury prone, but according to some he has a nice touch. Plus, he's a walk on. Not many get somebody 7'2" with a few skills to walk on.
