It's so funny that a week ago Baylor fans were salivating about how good he was going to be next season. And now that he's gone from their program they're all downplaying how good he really is.

BYU Leads Chase for Darrion Williams, Kentucky Also in Pursuit

If this happens does Saunders even start?

C'mon man. Saunders has immortalized himself amongst the BYU greats. Leading scorer on a S16 team, Local kid who stuck around when the coach left. Saunders starts. KY figures out a way to make it work. But we aren't getting Williams, so this is moot. We are officially the "throw [insert team] into every negotiation in an attempt to drive up value" team right now. NOt a bad place to be, but let's recognize it for what it is.

What position did Darrion Williams play for Tech? Why couldn't we have Wright at PG, Saunders at SG, Williams at SF, Dybansta at PF, and Keita at C? Works for me!

              That would be amazing.

Is staton expected to come off the bench?

Darrion is really good. But three schools in three years? Sounds a lot like Marcus Adams and Catchings to me. Give me Richie as an experienced, proven senior any day.

They say he is still pretty raw. Good defense, not much offense.

I feel like after BYU landed Dybantsa, I'm going to stop staying something isn't going to happen.

Less of that talk please. BYU buying good players just like everyone else who can. BYU offers excellent academics should an athlete care, just like other universities. You can be religious at BYU, as you can at other universities. No need to dress it in moral superiority.

Understood, but I think those posts are probably a good thing to keep certain brethren on board with this amazing shift in BYU's approach to college athletics.

I was watching for something directly from one of the parties involved:

                            "What choice?" - Abe Petrovsky

You read moral superiority in there? I think that's a bit unfair. Should BYU just cease to advertise their stated unique mission when it comes to athletics? Sounds like Travis was saying that for people who want to be disciples of Jesus Christ but also play basketball at the highest level, BYU is a great fit. I'm not saying we should always wear that on our sleeve like Bronco but if we are uncomfortable with Travis's statement I don't know how this model will have the long-term support of the BOT (as PAC noted).
