We are 6 games into the conference schedule and KY looks like he’s still trying to figure out which guys can play together. So yeah, I’m that guy. Disappointing game. Couldn't defend the paint - so many easy looks for Utah atthe rim. Couldn't score when needed - in spite of lots of opportunities. Not as many turnovers as in some recent losses, but it seemed each was consequential as it seemed several were unforced and negated fast break opportunities.

Of course it matters! Good grief. Do you think there haven't been countless programs over the years that have recruited even better than BYU year after year and not smelled the tournament? It happens all the time. Washington fired Romar with the best recruiting class in the nation and he had been top ten every year. There are a lot of good players, and you need good players, but in college basketball it's ultimately the coaching. Look at Connecticut. Never in the top 10 in recruiting. I'm giving Kevin Young grace. (Not Mark Grace). This team still needs to gel. One thing they have to figure out is how to seize the opportunities given and win the game. Sucking this bad at free throws is ridiculous. I'd consider not starting any player that can't hit at 70% from the line. Catchings and Demin need to figure it out free throws and aspire to be like Brody Kozlowski.Comment
