And one more thing, you ungrateful bastards. We already gave UNLV the business at the T&M, and we, the team of irrelevancy, still have the three best teams in the conference coming in. We're going to pound at least one of them like Nolan Ryan on Robin Ventura.Originally posted by jay santos View PostHenderson: 12.1 ppg, 2.5 reb, 0.9 assists 38% FG, 35% 3 pt FG, plays no defense, on an irrelevant team
Haws: 11.5 ppg, 4.6 reb, 1.3 assists, 53% FG, 40% 3 pt FG, solid defense, on the conference champion
You decide.
You drop the "irrelevant" nonsense, or we'll make sure it's your boys we send out of the Mighty Huntsman with an embarrassing, seed destroying loss!
We can really muck up some tournament resumes right now, so don't piss us off.

Brother,Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostYou may want to suspend this assessment for at least a year.
I like Marshall Henderson. I believe my track record is clear on that issue, and most thinking people agree with me.
However, Tyler Haws is savvy, he's got good size and a great stroke, and his dad was in Back to the Future. You can't coach savvy.
I would like to state that I am very glad Marshall Henderson will not be submitting his mission papers, and I am more than open to the possibility that Marshall Henderson has a better career than Tyler Haws.
Right now, however, I take Haws, even with the DB hair and popped collar.

I love Leonard's game and also his disposition. He doesn't get rattled, much like Haws, and can flat out get after the ball. I'm a bit disappointed in SDSU as a whole this year but they are young and will be very good in the next 2 years and Leonard will be a big part of it.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI think both Haws and Henderson are in trouble for MWC freshman of the year.
Kawhi Leonard of SDSU is putting up really good numbers:
12.4ppg 9.5 rpg, 1.9apg 1.3spg 46%fg, 70% ft."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Yeah, I agree with this. Leonard doesn't play like a freshman. Neither does Haws. The cherubic Marshall Henderson, however, is the epitome.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostI love Leonard's game and also his disposition. But only one of the three has a totally cool signature move after they make a three. Lee Cummard in the making!

No, I'm just predicting we'll be MWC champions. It's not that huge of an accomplishment. It will be the fourth in a row for us.Originally posted by SeattleUte View Postlol it's like a tick with you. There you go again. You already assume BYU will be the champion with all those games left to play. The BYU mindset is constantly, jarringly being reminded that they are not the center of the world, they are largely irrelevant. But their resiliance is their most astonishing characteristic--they always get up off the floor and carry on, believing the world begins and ends with and revolves around them.

No, the round robin settled the tie last year. Utah won it. The seedings in the NCAA playoffs also show the experts felt Utah was the best team.Originally posted by jay santos View PostNo, I'm just predicting we'll be MWC champions. It is too bad that BYU has had an extraordinary bounty of LDS players to rival the Ainge/Durrant/Roberts/Kite etc. run (that if history is any guide won't last) and accomplished so relatively little with these talents. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

A plea from your elders...what is DB hair? I actually Googled this, and the first result was a hair salon in West Yorkshire. I do not think that is what you meant. As much as I love Haws, and I do, I think he has the same stylist as Tiny Tim in Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol.Originally posted by Senioritis View PostBrother,

Henderson is better than many of my brethren admit here (yet would concede privately), but you're correct that at this moment, Haws is the more complete player. The only thing Henderson has that Haws needs to work on is an effective forearm shiver.

It is hoped those same experts will give BYU at least the same seed they bestowed upon Utah last year. Utah certainly proved them right, making your cruel "accomplished so relatively little" barb yet another of your spot on observations.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostNo, the round robin settled the tie last year. I'm OK if you don't call us back to back to back MWC champions. Everyone else does. And I'm sorry you're not enjoying this BB season. I'm having a blast! Helpful as always, although this addition to my lexicon may have limited usefulness in my HP Group. And for some reason, Henderson's bitchin' post-trey move reminds me of Frank Costanza's "stopped short" maneuver. When he someday becomes able, Henderson show grow a sweet 'stache.Originally posted by Senioritis View PostSee this very helpful and informative link:
