Utah County All-Star Tyler Haws has games of 17,17,16,20,22,24,15 and 17 (tonight against SDSU).
Its to bad Utah thinks they are better than the local kids. He is also shooting 55% from the floor, 40% from three, and 90% from the foul line.
No the problem isn't that Utah doesn't concern themselves with these kids, the problem is that Boylen is wasting too much time on kids he has no chance of getting. Haws would be great for the Utes and many other of BYU's Utah County players, but time spent of trying to get kids like Haws and Collinsworth is a complete waste.
Of course, SeattleUte's assessment of players like Haws is just as bad as your assessment of Henderson.

Are you saying that Izzo isn't giving players to Boylen anymore? Did the relationship sour?

I've got news for you; nothing could have been a greater waste of time than for Boylen to have chased after Haws. BYU has owned Utah county kids forever, clear back from before Devin Durrant. Generally BYU has the advantage with LDS kids unless Utah is just totally dominating. And even then, I've found that if it gets too lopsided, talented LDS kids hear the call to go save BYU. This is what happened with the influx of Ainge, Durrant, Kite and Fred Roberts when Utah had been on top for a number of years running. Same thing wiht the bumper year Cleveland had the year before he left. The truth is there might be 1-3 in-state players who can make an impact in a year (3 in a very good year). If they're from SLC or to the north (excluding Brighton, a total BYU whore HS), Utah has a chance. Otherwise, forget it.
When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

What can be a greater waste of time than a "complete waste"? And why would the funkster regard SU's revelation as "news"? I'm still trying to catch on to the Ute style of sports communication. This isn't helping.

The funny thing as someone who went to Brighton, at least when I went there being a BYU fan I was not in the popular fan base. There were many more Utah fans. I remember when Dave Nielsen who was in my class committed to BYU, there were a spattering of "boos" at the next home basketball game.
However the D1 athletes from Brighton do all seem to go to BYU.

I was confused for a minute, but realized that there are some things that need to be said so badly that conversational continuity is trumped.
Sometimes those Utes do come down south of the Point of the Mountain to capture one our FYM. Reference: Coby Leavitt.
What's the inside joke re: Henderson and Snow/junior colleges?
I just said that their were a dozen kids at Utah high schools across the state and that play for Snow College with the same exact skill set as Marshall Henderson.
