Still proud to say that I have never voted for Mike Lee, starting when I was a state delegate.

      Explains a lot.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The change in behavior and outlook is pronounced enough I kind of wonder if he is going through some mental... metamorphosis.

This isn't something a public figure would just throw out. "Hey everybody, just do you know the bad guy in the MMM saga is a durect relative of mine and here is a quote from his execution."

Ted Cruz couldn't wait to jump in on the fun. Does he really know who John D. Lee is and what he did?

It sounded "alpha" and betas are ever in need of sounding "alpha."

There was a somewhat recent execution by firing squad in South Carolina (?) that is in the news because the shooters may have mostly missed the heart of the convict, perhaps leading to additional suffering. I wonder whether his post is related to that.

That's gross. The toll that carrying out the death penalty takes on corrections officers psychologically should be taken into account. It's not a forgettable action

I always thought Mike Lee spoke with an accent and cadence like Dr. Raymond Stantz from Ghostbusters. Wonder if that character made some sort of impact on him or something?

I think that anyone who supports the death penalty should be at the minimum willing to watch an execution and potentially willing to pull the trigger as well.

Keep sticking it to the gays Mikey.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced a resolution designating June as ‘Fidelity Month’ to celebrate faith, family values, and patriotism. The resolution recognizes the national strife resulting from declining traditional values and serves as a rededication to these principles for the wellbeing of the American people.

I am sure that there are often times members of the family of the murdered who would line up for the chance. Seems like they should get first dibs in this scenario.

The death penalty debate doesn't move my needle. I support life without parole mostly because it is the cheapest option that still protects a free society from murderers.

That's a bit morbid, but I think I can get onboard with that. Reminds me of the people I worked with during 9/11 calling for our military to go kick some butt, but were not interested in signing up for that fight personally.
