Just got back from shopping with the Mrs. We went to Walmart, Sam's Club, and Harmons. Which is nothing for the Mrs. The Mrs usually throws in a visit to Costco as well on her shopping days, but I was tired and ready to come home.
Things the stores were out of:
- Potatoes (they had some red potatoes left at Harmons but they were going fast, not sure why people made a run on potatoes)
- Eggs - I'm not sure why eggs were picked clean when every other dairy product was readily available (see below).
- Ground beef
- Chicken of all kinds
- The stuff you would expect: sanitizer, wipes, TP, paper towels, etc. Actually, Walmart had TP but it was a fairly low supply.
- Maple syrup (really people?, did we really need to make a run on syrup?)
- Canned goods. Anything worth eating was gone. If you love, say, canned anchovies then now is your time to shine!
- Salt. Why, people, why?
- Baking stuff like flour, sugar, chocolate chips - except they had a bunch of jacked up gluten free weirdo flour still on the shelves at Harmons.
Things there was plenty of:
- Fresh fruits
- Vegetables/salad/etc., with the exception of potatoes (see above).
- Meats that require some effort to cook such as brisket (going to do my first one on Friday), ribs, pork butts, etc.
- Milk
- Cheese
