At what point did you / will you take the coronavirus epidemic seriously?
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Two Utah hospitals have opened up overflow ICUs, staffed entirely with health professionals working overtime. The trib gave us two examples of rationing:
1. If someone is in the ICU and is not getting better, they will be released and the space given to someone else. I guess they will be sent home to die.
2. If two people need an ICU spot, and there is only one spot, the younger one will get it.
Jarid, is this fear mongering? Or should I prepare to move to Wyoming for a month or two?
If only Biden and the democrats were president of Europe this whole thing would be over. Instead the virus is raging out of control in all of the places we were told were models on preventing it.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
It is a bit of both. It is fear mongering in the sense that we aren't as close to needing crisis standards as they are insinuating. But it is a real possibility down the road if this outbreak keeps accelerating like it has over the last 2 weeks.

"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."

Europe's current status gives me legit depression over our probable course this winter.

I wouldn't say Europe is the model. I'd say New Zealand or Thailand. Europe took precautions we didn't, sure, but 'the model?' Ehhhh...

Isnt some of the success in asia/oceana due to not being heavily seeded with the more infectious European strain at the beginning of the pandemic? Sincere question.

Good thing Utah moms are keeping their kids home and not testing them!

Parents are saying to not test to avoid shutting down sports teams, says one parent
What's being called a “Mom Code” aimed at keeping Utah schoolchildren from being tested for the coronavirus and now is raising alarm, according to a new report.
KUTV reports interviewing people who say there are groups of parents who are refusing to allow their kids to be tested for COVID-19 in an attempt to keep schools open and avoid quarantines.
“Parents are saying, ‘Let’s not test,’ just so they don’t have to worry about shutting down the sports teams,” Genevra Prothero a parent in the Davis School District told the station in a report Friday. “I think that it is absolutely a disgrace.”
