Well I would make a comparison to how the governments of the United States and the Iran are putting the blame on protestors, but I've been told there is no comparison.

Get back to me when protesting in U.S, results in 20K loss of life and a country that represses their people for 50-years. Or when the law enforcement corral’s citizens into a kill zone to take them all out.

You can make the comparison and some may agree with you and others will not. You know my opinion. I find it rather a stretch to compare the laws of our land to those living in that evil-regime.

I keep seeing references to how long a group of people has been oppressed. Originally I thought I saw someone post 40 years for Iran. Now Dabrockster is saying 50.

Why does it matter how long it has been going on? Does a group of people need to tolerate it for a while before being justified in opposing it? I don’t get it.

Who in the U.S. is being oppressed? What level of oppression warrants actions? Do those protesting not n behalf of illegal aliens deserve any rights beyond due process? Protest the method and the rights of citizens and the treatment all you want. Do I think it is over reach? Yes,however, I tend to think there is a big difference to what people consider to be oppressed here in America in comparison to Iran.

The first thing I expect the free world to understand is the true voice of the people inside Iran," Shariatmadari said. "The people of Iran are united in their demand for regime change and want to restore Iran to its former dignity, a dignity in which human rights and human worth were respected."

Without a doubt, when the regime displays such open violence in the streets, even worse atrocities occur behind prison walls," he said. "I can only imagine that this time all detainees will face similarly brutal treatment."

For Madadzadeh, the danger is immediate.

"The world must respond decisively to this brutality," she said. "Every minute of delay costs lives."

Again, you are talking about matters of degree and scope. Federal agents gassing and flash-banging cars with small children inside without reasonable cause is pretty bad as well. Shooting unthreatening women in the face too.
