You're up in the night if think this a both-sides-are-just-as-bad scenario. That's essentially what the Trump strategy is, to try to equate what Biden supposedly did to Trump. Don't buy into that.

Intimindating witnesses with veiled threats, hiding conversation records with Putin and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, on a special system, obstructing justice during Comey's and Mueller's investigations, refusing to enact laws congress that have already been signed, such as failing to enforce sanctions against Russia, and witholding approved military aid to Ukraine for leverage against an election opponent, forcing his staff to sign NDAs, interfering with the IRS auditing process (this has flown under the radar, but it sounds like a big story), having various members of his adminstration resufe to adhere to congressional subpoenas, shitting all over the Emoluments Clause ton enrich herself, including funneling some government entities to spend time at or rent from his facilities, politicizing the DOJ, and ICE along with others to serve political purposes, offering to pardon Convicted criminals if they refuse to cooperate with law enforcement.

I'm sure they will find something. Use your imagination.

Not sure where I equated anything. I just don’t see why refusing to tolerate one type of corruption means that we need to tolerate another. How about we just refuse to elect anyone who has engaged in any type of corrupt behavior in the past? Maybe I’m being naive, but that seems like a good place to start for me.

      Nice dodge, by the way.

This thread is about Trump. What did I dodge?

          • God bless Chris Wallace. Fox News and their thiny vieled propaganda wing have played a big part in Trump's dysfunction. I've lose track of how many advisors he brought on because he liked how they spoke on Fox News.

Report: Rudy Giuliani Worked With Fox News Legal Guests on Secret Project to Dig Up Ukraine Dirt on Joe Biden

Rudy Giuliani reportedly worked with a high-profle legal guest and commentator for Fox News in an effort to obtain damaging information on Joe Biden related to the work done by the former vice president’s son in the Ukraine.

According to Fox News, two of the network’s own habitual guests–Joseph DiGenova and Victoria Toensing–worked on the secretive project and only answered to one person: President Donald Trump.

Chris Wallace broke the story on Sunday morning:

We have new information to report. Fox News has learned the president’s private attorney, Rudy Giuliani, was not acting alone in trying to get dirt from Ukrainian officials on 2020 rival Joe Biden. Two high-profile Washington lawyers, Joe diGenova, who’s been a fierce critic of the Democratic investigation, and his wife Victoria Toensing were working with Giuliani to get oppo research on Biden.

“According to a top U.S. official, all three were working off the books apart from the administration,” Wallace continued. “The only person in government who knows what they were doing is President Trump.”

DiGenova and Toensing are frequent guests on various Fox News programs, including shows hosted by Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and others. DiGenova is also a prolific opinion writer for the Fox News website.

Wallace also reported additional information about the U.S. aid payment said to have been dangled in the balance by Trump over his request for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into long-dormant corruption allegations against Hunter Biden.

“Fox News has also learned the Pentagon, State Department and National Security Counsel were unanimous in supporting military aid to Ukraine,” Wallace noted. “President Trump decided to withhold that aid this summer–on his own.”

DiGenova’s work on the project–and Wallace’s report about said work–underscores and/or explains an ongoing rift between the hard news division of the conservative-leaning network and the typically reflexively pro-Trump slant of Fox News’ editorial division.

Last week, DiGenova tore into Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Andrew Napolitano by insulting his intelligence and insisting on the 45th president’s innocence amidst the avalanche of news related to the announced–but so far still informal–impeachment inquiry.

            • One of Trump's many Tweets today:

Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called “Whistleblower,” represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way.
Trump apparently thinks the Sixth Amendment guarantee of the right to confront one's accusers in a trial applies to whistleblowers in political matters. I know his business professor said Trump was the dumbest student he ever had. Wish his military school civics teacher could chime in.

I also thought Adam Schiff did a really lousy job of characterizing the phone call transcript, but Trump accusing Schiff of treason (which can call for the death penalty) today suggests Orange Julius is becoming unhinged.

We're old enough to remember Nixon.... Nixon is a choir boy compared to Trump.

Seems fair and accurate. Here's my even shorter summary:

Russia invades Ukraine and annexes large swaths of valuable territory.

Ukraine, with inferior wealth and defensive resources, seeks help from the West to thwart Putin and the invaders.

U.S. Congress appropriates $400 Million in aid to stop the unlawful annexation.

Congress and the Defense Department determine all conditions have been satisfied to deliver the promised aid.

One week before his phone call with Zelensky, Trump blocks the promised help, citing no specific reason.

During the call, Trump reminds Zelensky of all the good things the U.S. has done and can do for Ukraine and asks for a favor—to investigate his political rival, telling him he’s sending his personal attorney to oversee the investigation. Trump repeats his request multiple times in the call.

Trump’s supporters don’t detect even a whiff of pressure brought by Trump to achieve a personal objective.

BTW, I think Zelensky has behaved more honorably and has proven to be more statesmanlike than Trump, which is funny given that Zelensky used to get laughs by appearing to play the piano with his penis.

I nominate this to be the political epitaph of Trump.

You simply can't have a deep state shadow government without a Jewish billionaire. That's just common sense.
