If true, obviously it's fraud. Does Cohen disclosing this information violate attorney-client privilege? NO, because the courts have established that it isn't a shield for someone to use to conspire with their lawyer to break a law.

Right- You don't owe your client a duty of confidentiality when speaking in your own defense when you yourself are accused of committing a crime or an ethics violation. Also- he probably could give 2 shits about that particular privilege when he not only lost his license but his freedom for Dipshit Donald.

No one is more modest than he is. He discourages friends, family and employees from reporting anything that would seen as laudatory. That's why, in addition to anything relating to his academic performance, he refuses to release his tax returns, as he doesn't want to trumpet his prodigious charitable giving.

But seriously, his grades and test scores must be awful, since he publishes or retweets anything and everything that he regards as complimentary. I'm inclined to believe one of his profs who wrote that he "was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had."

Speaking of hookers... I didn't watch much of today's hearing, and I wonder if anyone asked Cohen if he was aware of any other hush payments to Trump's paramours. It would actually help Trump's case if there were others in the more distant past, since Trump could then claim that such payments were routine and that the imminent election wasn't a factor in his decision to pay them off--hence not a campaign finance issue.

your second one is a real stretch of common sense. He explained how he knew Trump wanted him to lie about Trump Tower Moscow. He knew what the party line was despite having been personally involved in the project and giving Trump frequent updates on it at the same exact time Trump had been telling everyone for over a year that he had zero business in Russia, didn't think he even knew anyone there, barely heard of the country...blah, blah, blah.

And since "direct" seems to be the word of the day, it was pretty funny how not even one of the GOP members of Congress in there yesterday even once "directly" defended Trump. I listened to almost all of it. No one once said "this isn't true...Trump is a great guy." It was only about attacking Cohen for having told lies to Congress he had told not for himself, but to help Trump. I don't know if the Republicans were too dumb to notice the logical problem with that, or if they just knew their audience wouldn't notice. Probably a little of both.

Also, Jim Jordan and a couple others also lying about how that was the first hearing the committee has had this year to try to hammer home the false narrative that it was terrible that they would choose this to be the topic of the first hearing was also kind of stunningly stupid considering how easy it is to debunk that.

Trump has seriously destroyed the brain and morals of the GOP. They deserve to get the hell beaten out of them until they clean out the disease.

Pretty sad that you latch onto those three weak beacons of hope regarding collusion that Trump won't get indicted or even impeached. That's your whole defense? Insurance fraud was another one that came up. Fraud through his "charity" as well. Plus, at least twice he said there were still others he was told not to talk about because they were under investigation by the S. district of NY.
