Most of the Republicans are coming across as pretty desperate. The argument is that Cohen is not credible because he lied the first time he testified to Congress. LOL @ Jim Jordan saying he doesn't care about the hush money payments because we already knew about it and he thinks they were for all sorts of services even though Rudy Giuliani has gone on TV and said what they were for. He and Meadows are being particularly ridiculous and coming out looking the most stupid.Comment

They were made to keep the news of the affairs from affecting the election and were not reported as they should have been according to campaign finance laws. Also, according to Cohen today, Trump knew he was violating the law. And the reimbursements to Cohen in individual $35,000 checks were still going out to Cohen even after Trump was in office. Cohen said that a year after Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower, something "clicked in my mind." He said he recalled a 2016 meeting in which Trump Jr. whispered to his father, "The meeting is all set."
He said he concluded that they were likely talking about the meeting with the Russian lawyer, and that if that was the case, Trump knew about the meeting even though he has said in public that he was not aware of it.
Cohen also takes a swipe at Trump Jr., by saying that the president's son likely cleared the meeting with his father because Trump Jr. didn't have good judgment.
"Mr. Trump had frequently told me and others that his son Don Jr. had the worst judgment of anyone in the world," Cohen will say. "And also, that Don Jr. would never set up any meeting of any significance alone — certainly not without checking with his father."
