Dude, Trump is playing 10D chess. Those are distractions from Greenland.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

      • This talk about allies no loner sharing intel. Interesting when British assisted in the capture of the oil tanker near Greenland last week.

That is a stupid assumption of Arm-chair QBs. Information sharing will go both ways. No way they wish to turn off any intel we may have which is likely more robust and beneficial to their national security interests. Doomsday-chatter once again.

            • When has betting against Trump’s id ever been safe?

Will there be a full-scale military invasion? Probably not? But the safe bet is that he’ll keep ratcheting up pressure and do something that further fractures our relationship with NATO. something like expanding military bases for a start.

              • The GOP impulse to cow tow anything Trump desires will have such negative consequences that will fall on completely deaf ears when progressives get in office salivating at the executive power they now enjoy. I get the anti anti Trump folks here prefer to nit pick at these little battles but it's the entirety of his agenda that concentrates more and more power in the executive that is the genuine malfeasance that the population as a whole feels. You are frogs in slowly heated water.

Don't bet on it. Pay attention to what Miller, Vance and Bannon say, not just Trump.

I do agree it is stupid.. Any action to take it forcibly is not ok at all. If he ends up buying it.. And as others have said. Denmark invaded and took it, but my opinion. Why does Denmark still have control of it. It seems the people of Greenland wish to be their own country. I say let them.. Why is there no complaints on this.

Wait till Dabrockster reads about Hawaii, let alone US history on the mainland!

                      • Some misinfo on the Greenland situation.

It's true in the 1300s Denmark claimed Greenland.

So the Greenlandic population has the legal right to claim independence and a mechanism to do so. They are choosing to remain with Denmark and have representation in the Danish parliaments.

By a narrow majority they want to remain with Denmark.

I'd be ok if Greenland wanted to join the United States because their people did.

It would be like us threatening to take over Aruba from the Dutch.

Also worth emphasizing Denmark is treaty-bound ally and we are supposed to defend their territory from invasion. We have a military base there.

Which is what makes Trump's argument about China or Russia will attack it if we don't, so asinine and only would make sense to some of his intellectually challenged base. China and Russia won't attack a NATO country as long as there is a strong NATO. Of course Trump would like nothing more than to destroy that.
