Comments like this always crack me. Sure the Trump family love may all be 100% genuine. Then again, it might be 100% fake and strategic. Who the hell knows? But if you are drawing conclusions from public photo opps, you are pretty gullible.

Great point. I have a strategy for approaching this that may be helpful: if something positive is said about someone I like, I accept it as truth. If something positive is said about someone I dislike, I reject it as a lie. This approach has never failed me and I have never been wrong about anything.

Just stop. I've stated nothing that's a Trump line. Conservatives, not just MAGA, have had it out for NPR for a long time. Their own CEO admits their bias is a problem. Even if there was no bias there is an argument that NPR sould be defunded simply because we can't afford to be subsidizing such things.

Dude, what is the harm in funding PBS and NPR? Really. Please tell us how this makes any sense.

They have a programming advantage when they don't have to pause for ad breaks. How many hours of extra programming do they enjoy compared to network competition?

I am just messing around of course. But, on a serious note, the new media space is super interesting to me. It is the wild west with regards to influence on people, with the decline in trust in legacy establishments. I am really interested to see if some of those institutions can reinvent themselves and emerge with better influence or whether they shrivel and die. I am also interested in the new media emerging. It is really interesting.

I like NPR, but it is like the "hallmark news channel" for democrats. kind of like Fox is for repubs. a fairly accurate source that phrases things the way you most like them and is reliably in "your" corner. "Comfort news" for the easily upsettable.
